CallTheDoctor (the “App”) is operated by Nune Mohan (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App and related services.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Scope

This Policy applies to the CallTheDoctor Android app and any associated webpages we control that link to this Policy. It aligns with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Information We Collect

1) Personal Information

• Name, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth
• Address and location details to enable doctor home visits and order delivery

2) Medical Information

• Health records, prescriptions, symptoms, diagnostic reports, and medical history
• Information you share during consultations or upload for lab/pharmacy services

3) Payment Information

• Processed securely through Razorpay (cards, UPI, and other methods)
• We do not store full payment instrument details on our servers

4) Location Information

• Collected with your permission to match you with nearby doctors, labs, and pharmacies, and to complete home visits and deliveries

5) Technical & Usage Information

• Device type, OS, app version, logs, and crash analytics
• Limited diagnostics and performance data (e.g., via Firebase)

How We Use Information

• Enable doctor bookings, home visits, lab orders, and pharmacy deliveries
• Verify identity and facilitate secure communication (calls/messages)
• Process payments and send receipts
• Provide recommendations and improve features and user experience
• Maintain security, detect/prevent fraud or misuse
• Comply with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements

Data Sharing & Disclosures

We share data only as needed to provide our services:

• Doctors: Receive relevant patient details (e.g., contact, address, symptoms, prescriptions) to deliver care and complete visits.
• Pharmacies & Labs: Receive necessary prescription/order and contact details to process and deliver your orders.
• Payment Gateway: Razorpay processes your payments securely.
• Infrastructure & Communications: Firebase (analytics), AWS (hosting), Google Maps (maps/geolocation), and Twilio (communications), as applicable.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS). We use encryption, access controls, and other safeguards appropriate to the data’s sensitivity.
• No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your account credentials confidential.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the services and as required by law (including retention of medical and transactional records for regulatory or audit purposes). When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access & Update: You may access or update certain information through your account or by contacting us.
• Consent Management: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it; this may limit service availability.
• Account Deletion: You can request deletion as described in Account Deletion.

We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable laws, including the DPDP Act, 2023.

Children’s Privacy

The App is primarily intended for adult users. Parents or legal guardians may use the App to book appointments and place orders for their family, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18 without appropriate authorization.

Third-Party Services & Links

The App integrates with third-party services such as Firebase, AWS, Razorpay, Google Maps, and Twilio. Your use of their features is subject to their respective privacy practices. The App may also contain links to external sites we do not control; we are not responsible for their content or privacy policies.

Territorial Scope

CallTheDoctor currently operates only in India. Our processing and storage occur within India to the extent feasible.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Policy.
